What is UM Coverage?

Today’s question is: What is UM Coverage?
UM is short for Uninsured or Under-insured Motors Coverage, it’s the insurance coverage that compensates you for your out of pocket expenses and pain and suffering if you’re involved in an accident and the driver has no liability insurance or carries too little.

Most people don’t have Uninsured Motors Coverage because it tends to be too expensive or they don’t know how valuable it can be. Keep in mind that in Florida you’re not required to have liability coverage, so considering that most drivers only have $10,000 in liability coverage chances are good that you are going to be under-compensated if you’re involved in a serious accident.
